YOUR GROWTH STARTS HERE

BEYOND BARRIERS

Beyond Barriers is a 6-month mentorship program that runs from September to February, designed to support young immigrants and newcomers under 30 in building successful careers in Canada. Many young immigrants and newcomers struggle with understanding the Canadian workplace culture. This program connects them with experienced professionals in their field who can offer guidance, share resources, and help them develop career-related skills. Through one-on-one mentorship and group workshops participants will gain valuable insights into resume writing, interview preparation, workplace etiquette, and professional growth. Our goal is to provide a supportive community where young immigrants feel empowered to pursue their career goals with confidence. By fostering leadership, life skills, and professional connections, Beyond Barriers aims to ease the transition into the workforce and contribute to the economic and social integration of newcomers.

Paroles et Parcours (in French), is a recurring bilingual in-person event held once a month, bringing together newcomer youth aged 18–30 of all immigration statuses including international students, refugees, and temporary or permanent residents. Each session lasts 1.5 hours and offers a welcoming environment for youth to share their lived experiences, discuss challenges, and build peer connections.
Activities include guided discussions, collaborative problem-solving, and guest speaker presentations from professionals, mentors, or community leaders who were themselves newcomers. These guests offer practical tools and inspiration, helping youth explore solutions in areas such as employment, housing, mental health, and civic engagement.
